This is not a diary blog. I am not a beauty guru. I’m a writer, and maybe someday I’ll be an author, but until then I’ve got to work at it. Currently, I’m in the middle of writing my first novel and working on a whole bunch of other really cool writing projects with some even cooler people that will help me get my name out and maybe, just maybe, make getting this manuscript into the hands of the right person a whole lot easier. I want to get this thing in print. I want people to read it, and like it, and show it to their friends.
Until the day I land an agent and all of the cool things you get to do before becoming a published author, I’m going to document my thoughts about this wacky journey here. Talk to me, leave me comments, like my posts, let me know you’re listening. Because maybe someday you’ll recognize my voice in that brand new novel you picked up from the bestseller shelf at your local bookstore and smile.
“I know that girl,” you’ll say. “I totally commented on her blog once.” And everyone will think you’re rad. So go on, if not for me, do it for the status.
Just don’t ask me to write fan fiction. That shit scares the hell out of me.
I Should Be Writing Right Now 
Sounds like a great goal! I have a similar one, I hope it works out for you 🙂
It’s very rewarding too; there will be struggles and downfalls and failures (believe me, I wrote this a year ago), but you will feel amazing once your goals are realized. (Or at least, you finally start to realize them ;))
